Pico Dorado (Golden Peak)

Extreme personalities and passions play heavily in many custom builds. In this case the personality and passions were inspired by Colombia – a land of extremes. While soccer and Ceviche might come to mind, the client’s vision was inspired by the diverse range of landscapes back home.

The shapely, sculpted lines were inspired by rolling landscapes and a client who got bent out of shape imaging himself riding a collection of static tubes. This bike needed to flow both physically and on long, winding descents.

Conceived between squash serves and servings of beer after league night, it could be said that Dale sweat over this frame more than most. Made to match the personality of his “men’s league” nemesis, this sleek, speedy, 22 pound bike isn’t afraid to dig into tight corners or accelerate up sheer walls.

The bike’s striking gold highlights could represent a shining mountain peak in Colombia or Dale conceding a coveted gold medal. Regardless, meeting a client’s steep expectations makes RollingDale cycle a winner.
